The BAIR Report was written by a professional with 20 years of Residential and Commercial construction experience, and 20 years as a professional home inspector. This inspector’s forte was his ability to describe and explain the home inspection’s findings in layman’s terms. His clients knew at the end of the inspection, exactly the condition of the inspected home. He always offered "how to tips" on defects found during the inspection. He explained how components and systems in the home worked and gave "how to maintenance tips".
Carrying over this same style of "how to inspect" and explaining in layman’s terms, he authored the BAIR Report. This inspection guide and report is detailed, thorough, yet easy to use.
The author has trained many home inspectors and has become their mentor through the years. He has also given many educational seminars related to Home Inspections and such matters.
He currently writes articles pertaining to houses, their systems, components, how to inspect methods, how to tips, and maintenance tips, describes why and how things work, etc. They are posted on the web.
